Story about a elder brother who doing his best to give basic needs and education to his siblings. But, when the sibilings get richer, they ignore the brother who will become a famous writer. Starring Rajinikanth, Cho, Sangeetha, Jaya, Jayalakshmi.
Movie about a guy who in love with his childhood love, Mynaa. The girl’s family against their love, make them run away from the house. Along the way, they face tonnes of problems. Directed by Prabhu Solomon, cast Vidharth, Amala Paul, Thambi Ramaiah.
Vikram’s great comeback movie. He was accepted by a hero after this movie was released. With amazing performance, this movie will make any one cry. Released in 1999 and directed by Bala.
4. Angadi Theru
Angadi Theru is based on true story about sales girl and sales boy who works in a saree store in Chennai. They were tortured by place manager. They fall in love and get married. But tragedy strikes in an accident and she will lose her leg. Directed by Vasanthabalan in 2010, starring Mahesh, Anjali, A. Venkatesh, Pandi.
Story about two friends, Suriya and Vikram who is outcast convicted in drug case later they had issues with local drug lord. Later Suriya was killed by the drug lord and Vikram takes revenge. Released in 2003, starring Vikram, Suriya, Laila, Sangeetha was directed by Bala.
6. Moondram Pirai
This evergreen movie was directed by the legendary director Balu Mahendra in 1982. Story about a heroine who lost memories and behaving liek a child. Was taken care by the hero, however the climax was against him. Casting by Kamal Hassan, Sridevi, Silk Smitha.
Directed by Cheran in 1997, starring Murali, Meena, Vadielu, Manivanan. The story of a poor potter who finds difficult to get his sister married as she was deaf and mute. While he manage to make enough money for dowry but the dad creates other issues along the way.
Directed by Balaji Sakthivel, and starring Bharath, Sandhya, Kadhal Dhandapani. This movie won numerous awards for best direction and story. Story about two young lovers, from poor and wealthy family. Then run away and get married. However things get really bad when the girl’s father get to know.
9. Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer
Plot is about a young college friends gets intimate during an overnight trip. Soon, the girl finds out that she is pregnant and they struggle to hide it from their family. Things get very sad in the end. Released in 2013, movie was directed by Suseenthiran and starring Santosh Ramesh, Manisha Yadav.
10. Kattradhu Thamizh
Acted by Jiiva, Anjali, Karunas, this movie is about a young Tamil-postgraduate, who is frustrated with the community and his futility of his job. He slowly becomes a psychopath. Directed by Ram in 2007.
