Rhythm

Starring Meena, Arjun Sarja, Ramesh Aravind, Ramya Krishnan and Jyothika, the story goes as Karthik, a photographer-editor, meets Chitra while opening a bank account. Following a few subsequent encounters, they learn about the death of each other’s spouses and contemplate remarriage. Directed by Vasanth in 2000. This movie won a Filmfare Special Award (South).

Villain

The usual story of twins separated then will take revenge on the villain who killed their parents. Directed by K. S . Ravikumar, and starring Ajith, Meena, Kiran, Ramesh Khanna, Karunas released in 2002. 

Naam Iruvar Namakku Iruvar

This comedy movie was directed by Sundar C in 1998. Starring Prabhu Deva, Meena, Maheswari, Senthil, Vivek, Manivannan, Jayaram, Manjula, Kazan Khan and more. Story about a hero who pretends to be in love with a wealthy businessman’s daughter, to steal an expensive diamond. He later falls in love with the businessman’s second daughter. Music composed by Karthik Raja.

Bharathi Kannamma

Released in 1997, this movie was directed by Cheran. Story about Parthiban, who works for a rich man, and Meena, the daughter of a rich landlord, fall in love. Meena commits suicide by burning herself as she cannot marry Parthiban because of their caste difference. Starring Parthiban, Meena, Vijayakumar, Senthil and Ranjith.

Vetri Kodi Kattu

Released in 2000, this movie starred Murali, Parthiban, Manorama, Vadivelu, Malavika, Meena, Ramesh Khanna, Charlee, Anandraj, Vijayakumar and more. Movie with a good message, won the National Film Award as well for Best Film on Other Social Issues. 

Porkkaalam

Directed by Cheran in 1997, starring Murali, Meena, Vadivelu, Manivanan. The story of a poor potter who finds it difficult to get his sister married  as she was deaf and mute. While he manages to make enough money for dowry, the dad creates other issues along the way. 

Avvai Shanmugi

One of the best comedy movies of all time is Avvai Shanmugi. Released in 1996, directed by K. S. Ravikumar. This was one of the favourite movies of Crazy Mohan as he mentioned in an interview. The story dialogue was written by Crazy Mohan himself. This movie was a remake of a Bollywood movie, however Crazy Mohan changed it a little to adapt to Tamil. 

Muthu

A loyal servant and his boss fall in love with the same girl. That caused the servant to leave the place. Later find out that the servant’s boss was the actual boss. This was a remake of Thenmavin Kombath, a Malayalam movie which was acted by Mohanlal and Shobana. This Tamil movie is directed by K. S. Ravikumar, starring Rajinikanth, Meena, Sarath Babu, Vadivelu, which was released in 1995.

Maaman Magal

Starring Sathyaraj, Meena, Manivannan, Goundamani, Manorama, Anandraj and more. Directed and screenplay by Guru Dhanapal. Movie released in 1995. 

Nattamai

Not directly a caste based movie. However there are scenes where it touched on caste systems. Story about a village head, who is revered by all, leads a content life with his family. Starring Sarathkumar, Vijayakumar, Meena, Goundamani, Senthil and more.
